Nick Castilogia’s friend caught a big one fishing off a boat on 5-1-19.

Nathan pulled in this 4.79 lb. trout from the pond on 4/20 using powerbait.

John Curry reeled in this 6.91 lb. monster trout from the south cove on 4/28. No bait was reported.

Another post to Gold Country Fishing Report Mju Mju wrote on 4/29, “Took the wife out fishing. Ended up with 3 in 3 hours of fishing at Camanche. Started off with this 6.2lb biggy. Main lake about 40 on the downriggers. See them jumping. Couldn’t get anything close to the surface to bite.”

Dime bright rainbows are taking center stage on Shasta Lake and the fish will fatten up nicely when the Shad schools arrive!

Todd Yahn and Mike Stotesbury of Torrance, CA (!) Got this niiiiiiice stringer on the reservoir today, each netting an almost identical 4 1/2 lb rainbow each.

Shasta Lake rainbow trout fishing is improving and should break wide open very soon!

Chyow! Josu Cadilla of Bakersfield, CA got this 9 lb rainbow on nightcrawler. It's a #BFEF tagged trophy trout and is worth a certificate for entry to the tournament in June and some internet fame! Way to go dude!
