Trout were biting power bait ( especially red, sherbert, rainbow, chartruse), night crawlers doused with attractant, lures and senkos with anglers using 12 to 18 inch leaders to catch limits. Lots of limits were caught with good size (near or over 2 pound) trout on most stringers. Many over 3 pound trout were also caught. Hot spots included the north and western shores of lake 2 as well as the eastern logged shore and the western shore from the pump house to the bridge of lake 3.

Catches of the Week: Shari Dobyns of Lucerne Valley scored her 6 lbs 2 ozs rainbow on red power bait while fishing near the bridge of lake 2. Mark Jackson of Rialto caught a 3 lb 6 ozs trout on a panther martin near the drain on the western shore of lake 3. Carl Clark of Palmdale reeled in a 3 lbs 2 ozs trout on chartruse power bait on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Manuel Garcia of Barstow caught his 3 lbs 11 ozs rainbow on a nightcrawler/marshmellow combo while fishing the western shore of lake 2.
