Groves Lake Fishing Report

Groves Lake has plenty of shoreline to access fishing and there was a kayaker out on the water. After arriving we meet a 12 year old who got his limit of Rainbow trout pretty quickly. He advised us on using a worms to catch the hungry fish. After setting up my line with a fresh worm I casted out into the water. BAM! First cast I landed a rainbow. Decent size stocky (NDOW had previously stocked the lake the week before). After releasing the fish back and setting up another worm we casted back into the water. We landed a rainbow and brown trout. The brown trout in Groves Lake  naturally reproduce in Kingston Creek upstream of the reservoir. All fish were successfully released back into the water.
